At _dTA, this role is as much about ideas as execution.

The Art Director is a conceptual problem solver who is directly responsible for our clients’ success.

We’re looking for brilliant, unexpected brand ideas and campaigns for digital platforms and IRL. You’ll work closely with the ACD and CD to concept and execute on-strategy solutions that excite and engage as much as they inspire and amaze. 

It is critical that this role build trust with our clients and internal team. That trust leads to growth in both internal and external agency relationships and agency business. Earning trust leads to career growth and opportunity.

Along with insatiable curiosity, you posses an awe-inspiring portfolio demonstrating conceptual solutions and problem solving skills. You also possess a keen attention to detail, a knowledge of and opinions on cultural trends, keen design sense and capabilities, particularly in typography, image creation, illustration, motion graphics and animation, a deep understanding of industry-standard software and the production processes that help turn ideas into business results.

  • Present an envy-inspiring portfolio of creative work
  • Education in conceptual problem solving or concentration in advertising program preferred
  • Have 2-10 years of experience in agency / in-house art director role
  • Deep understanding of illustration styles and techniques
  • Deep understanding of photography and photographic principles
  • Demonstrated passion for typography
  • Mastery of layout principles and techniques
Demonstrate mastery over modern creative, design and layout tools including: 
  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
  • InDesign
  • XD / Figma / Sketch
  • Acrobat
  • Pages
  • Keynote
  • MS Word
Bonus for skills and experience using the following software: 
  • AfterEffects
  • Premiere
  • Final Cut X
  • Cinema 4D
  • Adobe Media Encoder
  • HTML5
  • SEO Structure and Algorithms
  • Social Media Ad Platforms
  • MS Xcel

  • Solve client and agency business problems with elegance, grace, and mind-blowing design
  • Inspire internal and client team members with media agnostic brand ideas
  • Identify and inform the voice for multiple clients across radically different industries
  • Consistently bring solutions and perspectives to all business problems both agency and client
  • Work with ACD and CD to translate strategic insights into business building solutions
  • Work with ACD and CD to accept and incorporate creative feedback into your work
  • Manage multiple client projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Able to adapt quickly and thrive in an ever changing environment

$55,000 - $95,000 / year commensurate with experience
